go90 is a content streaming service for the mobile-first generation. The service provided original shows; nonexclusive, prime-time TV; and live events.

We focused on increasing user engagement by facilitating a legible and branded experience for existing and prospect users. It needed to be a seamless integration of our rebrand and existing systems in place.

As design director, I was overseeing all projects for this brand – brand development, web design, video and commercial content, campaigns, online advertising, social media, and partnerships. My responsibilities varied from design execution to brand enforcement to direction.

The biggest challenge was pushing the brand far enough that it felt new, but keeping it close enough to what it was that it felt familiar.

For the general branding, we used the Digital Brand Mark, or DBM, as the graphic that ties it all together. The DBM is layered go90 icons that lends itself to motion, making the mark as mobile as the product itself.
