ABOUT
Anna Fine is a Design Director — a jack of all trades, master of one (digital). She is currently working as an independent contractor through her studio, AFine Studio. She’s lived many lives in advertising and technology. From art director to product designer, her one common love is solving business problems with design solutions. She’s given talks at universities like Harvard, Columbia Business School and her alma mater, School of Visual Arts. In 2015 she completed Google’s 30 Weeks, an incubator program that groomed designers into founders of their own companies. Anna is an alumna of the School of Visual Arts where she graduated with honors. She later returned as a professor.
RECENT WORK
limbo [full time]
Acting as Head of Design, Anna not only led the initiative for renaming the company from Vitals in View to Limbo, she also spear-headed the site redesign (for a specific period), overhauled the app features, and defined user strategy and UX initiatives.
palm nft studio [consultant]
As a senior product designer, Anna went in as support to bring about the Sex Pistols NFT launch via their wallet. She worked closely with the design directors to ensure things moved quickly, and Figma libraries remained intact.

Design Director / Product Lead redesigning both the brand and website.

Senior Product Designer work on the Growth and Shopper teams. Most recently ideated and worked on the Shopper landing page and homepage overhauls.

Design Director in residence brought in to redesign the brand, product implementation of the brand redesign, and design ops — working alongside the product and marketing teams to better gauge impact of design processes for the business looking to scale.
ANOMALY LA [FREELANCe]
Worked on new product launch for Apple. Created a brand campaign system that would become the brand system for the overall product.
droga5 [2 years]
Design Director overseeing Droga5’s largest accounts at varying times: e.g. JPMC Bank and United Rentals. Expertise in digital helped win the Harley-Davidson website redesign business. For the first year, oversaw all of JPMC’s business including Chase Private Client, Freedom, Ink, Sapphire, Sapphire Bank, You Invest, Chase for Business, Chase Bank, Chase Pay, and Chase Merchants. Led pitches in a new format and process that became the blueprint for pitches thereafter — since adopting this new approach, Droga5 has since won several large accounts including Harley-Davidson. Created new revenue streams — creating a new “playbook” type of brand evolution for Mattress Firm has additionally led to other similar clients. A new team and revenue stream has since been dedicated to this type of work. Won an additional $1+ million in additional scopes within a year due to client satisfaction. Was a direct manager and nurtured at least 3 juniors at any given time — all of whom received promotions internally or got a higher title at the next job.
SVA INSTRUCTOR [3+ years]
Anna taught several courses, but 3rd-year Digital Design was the longest running, for three years, before she took a hiatus. The class taught the basics of digital design and user experience, design research, and crafting a narrative. Students have since gotten internships and jobs with their projects from this class at: Nike, Mother, Droga5, R/GA, Sunday Afternoon, Commercial Studio, Design Studio, and many others.
R/GA [1.5 years]
Design Director overseeing work for Verizon new business including go90 and Juice. Worked within an agile environment within nested teams. Anna directed an immediate team of 11 and was a manager for 2. She was asked by the client to stay on the project upon completion to help teach and work with the internal design team at Verizon. When the head of new business left Verizon for Droga5, he offered her a job.
DASH MOBILE [FREELANCE]
Product designer for Dash, a mobile auto app. Tasked with creating an experience that would get the app featured in the Google Play store (where most of their users were accessible), Anna redesigned the experience, and within six months it was featured and accrued an additional 50k users.
